Canada’s Lost Leadership
Everywhere you look today exposes the failed leadership in everything Trudeau’s liberal government touches. Trudeau’s government has shown ineptness from everything from managing Canadian airports, including an ineffective ArriveCAN app that cost taxpers more than $54 million dollars to poorly supplied and administered covid testing.
In fact amongst the G7 nations Canada leads in having the highest unemployment rate, the worst vaccine execution, and the biggest deficit per capita among all G7 countries.
The Auditor General of Canada released reports that raise questions about competence of the Liberal government’s management of both vaccines and COVID-related spending. She found that of $82 billion of Covid spending an estimated 27 per cent was poorly targeted including overpayment to 1,522 prisoners, 391 dead people and 434 children too young to be eligible. The Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) saw $11.8 billion going to people aged 15 to 24 deemed to be dependants living with parents in households with at least $100,000 in household income. Tent encampments spread out throughout cities are now a permant testament that the government failed to help those in genuine need while doling out $2000 monthly transfers to children of wealthy families with summer lifeguarding gigs.
The ineptness of the Trudeau government will have long lasting effects when the debt party is over and future generations will pay for a government that has been so irresponsible that it took on more debt in one single year as Canada has in it’s entire existance as a country.
